Jewelry

  • What materials are used?

    The Crown Pearls uses only saltwater pearls, 100% natural gemstones, and 18K solid gold to craft our jewelry. We take pride in ethically sourcing our pearls from the best origins from the South Sea, Tahiti, and Japan.

  • Where is our jewelry made?

    Our jewelry is handcrafted by the world's top craftsmen in Italy, Japan, and China.

  • How do I care for my jewelry?

    We recommend being mindful of how to wear your jewelry pieces and when to take them off. When you are not wearing your jewelry, store your pieces in an airtight bag or container to keep them from scratch or exposure to outside elements.   • Do you offer resizing services?

    Yes, we offer a ring resizing service for most ring styles. Our goldsmiths determine which styles are suitable for resizing to ensure that the reworking of a ring does not compromise its structural integrity. However, some selected ring styles cannot be resized due to the potential damage that resizing the ring shank can cause to the construction of the ring.

Payment

  • What payment methods do you accept?

    In-Store

    We accept credit cards, debit cards, cheques, e-transfers, and wire transfers in Canadian dollars and US dollars. We also accept Alipay and WeChat pay in Chinese Yuan. For other currencies, payment can be made through Paypal. Please note, if you pay through Paypal in a foreign currency other than Canadian dollars, you will be responsible for any possible additional charges of currency exchange rate and conversion service. 

    Online Orders

    We accept credit cards and debit cards in any currency through Paypal. 

    If you prefer to pay with a different method for online orders, such as WeChat Pay, Alipay, wire transfer, or more, please contact us at thecrownpearls@gmail.com, and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

    Foreign Bank Transaction Fees:

    We don't charge any additional fees beyond the total amount owed for your order. However, since we're based in Canada, some banks in other countries may consider us a "foreign company" and charge additional international fees. We regret that we cannot cover any foreign transaction fees.

  • How do I pay for orders over $10,000?

    Compared to online purchases, we would always love to have you visit our store located in the Village of Horseshoe Bay, West Vancouver, where we offer a wider range of payment options without any technical limitations. Additionally, you can enjoy viewing the jewelry in person. If visiting our store isn't feasible, please email us at thecrownpearls@gmail.com, and we'll work with you to find the best payment solution. 


Shipping

  • Where do you ship to?

    We ship worldwide from Vancouver, Canada. Kindly note that we do not ship to P.O. boxes at this time for security concerns. Duties may apply for international shipments.

  • What carriers do you use?

    To ensure fast and secure delivery, we use DHL and FedEx as our carriers.

  • What is the status of my order?

    Once your order has been shipped, you'll receive an email with a DHL/FedEx tracking number. You can use this number to check your shipping status.

  • How long does it take to ship my order?

    Every order will be processed and shipped within 1-2 business days. Please note that once an order has been placed, we are unable to cancel it, make adjustments to it, or combine it with another order.

  • How do you ensure the safety of the shipment?

    All shipments for The Crown Pearls benefit from insurance coverage, offering additional liability protection. This shipping insurance encompasses the entire value of your package, starting from the point DHL/FedEx takes possession of the shipment and extending up to the point of delivery. In case of any instances of loss, damage, or theft of the parcel, we recommend initiating a claim directly with DHL or FedEx. Upon approval of your claim, the carriers will provide a refund equivalent to the purchase price, with taxes or shipping fees being the only exclusions.

  • Will I be charged duties and taxes?

    Canada: 

    Duties are included. Taxes are applied at check-out according to the province of the shipping address.

    International Shipments (all shipments outside of Canada):

    Please be aware that your shipment may be subject to duties and taxes imposed by your country's customs office, which can vary depending on the destination country. The Crown Pearls has no control over these fees. We recommend contacting your local customs office to learn more about these charges. Please note that we are unable to refund any duties or taxes you may have paid.

    Return shipping costs will be applied when you opt to decline acceptance of your package due to duties or other fees. The package will be returned to us, and upon its receipt, we will proceed to refund your order while deducting the incurred return shipping expenses.

Exchange & Return Policy

  • What is your return/exchange policy?

    Each pearl/gemstone from The Crown Pearls has a certification, and for security reasons, merchandise may be exchanged or returned for a full refund within seven (7) days of the original in-store purchase date when accompanied by the original sales receipt, or within 7 days of delivery for online orders. The refund may only be made in the same currency as the original purchase. All items purchased at a discounted price are considered final sales and cannot be returned or exchanged unless there is a manufacturing defect. Other exclusions may apply.

    If you receive the wrong item, please contact us at thecrownpearls@gmail.com, and we'll process your exchange request, including a gemstone authentication to confirm we received the correct item.

    International return

    If you're returning an item from outside Canada, please declare that the parcel is a return on your customs declaration. If The Crown Pearls Inc. incurs any duties or taxes for returned parcels due to the return not being credited, you will be responsible for the amount. 

    Please note that we do not refund any shipping costs or route insurance fees.

  • What should be paid attention to when returning?

    Please be aware that all return or exchange processes can only proceed when the merchandise meets the following criteria: 
    - The items must be free from any damage.
    - All items are packaged in their original condition, including the inclusion of gemstone certificates (e.g., GIA, where applicable). 

    Upon receiving the return, a comprehensive jewelry inspection will be conducted to ensure the accuracy of the received items. Once this inspection is complete, we will promptly process and prepare the exchanged item for shipping.

    You are responsible for the cost and risk of returning the shipment. Therefore, We recommend an insured and trackable shipping service. We are unable to issue a return or an exchange without receiving the actual product.
